The Western hat from Stetson is hand-woven from natural raffia straw. The fibres are obtained from African palm fronds. The wide brim, which curves upwards at the sides, emphasises the cowboy style, while a perforated pattern in the crown allows good ventilation. A colourful trim band with cord and coloured leaves on the brim give the plain fabric hat an indigenous accent.
